The OCB Eco Guidelines

OCB Eco Guidelines are the brand standards and objectives around environmentalism.

Adapting to new technologies, creating more sustainable products and involving all our employees and suppliers in order to achieve our vision of sustainable development.

01.
TRACE IT TO THE ORIGIN

We work in close partnership with our suppliers to make sure they and their factories meet the most stringent requirements through product health, environment and customers’ safety.

02.
GREEN ENERGY

By January 1st, 2020, the electricity used in our entire plant is produced from renewable energy sources: wind, solar energy, hydropower and biomass.

03.
OBJECTIVE: ZERO
PAPER WASTE

In our factories the best practice is zero paper waste and whatever paper is unusable will go back into a bin and then back to the paper mill to be recycled back into more rolling paper.

04.
SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS

All our papers are made from sustainable fibers, that can be wood, flax, bamboo and hemp. The hemp we use is even organically grown in France.

05.
ACACIA GUM

We only use acacia gum in all our papers and guarantees that it is natural, vegan and GMO-free. We only work with suppliers that are involved in sustainable development in Africa.

WATER SAVING

Our Standard for water saving is in continued review in our factories but also with our partners. We are working to significantly reduce its usage in our production processes.

07.
LESS PLASTIC

Packaging respectful with the environment: at OCB we try to minimize the use of plastic and implement recycled and recyclable materials in our packing as much as we can in all our processes
